Similar to the Gin Teacup but for wine lovers! Prior to prohibition in 1920, women drank very little, just a bit of wine or sherry. Just six months after Prohibition became law in 1920, women got the right to vote, and feeling the freedom of acceptance, started visiting ‘Speakeasies’ for cocktails or gin. Speakeasies often served women gin from ordinary tea cups to hide what was inside, in case they were raided by police, when they could gulp their drink leaving the innocent looking empty teacup on the table. A unique and original design by Tez. Based in Sunny North Devon, in the UK, where I design, draw, paint and print. All my designs are original and unique. I work with lino print, ink, watercolour, acrylic and collage, alongside digital and a smattering of various other media. Shoes as a subject, an obsession. Best of all I love doing what I do, how lucky am I?
